This is my second post on indoor activities (you can find my first post here), which seems strange because the Valley is known for all of its outdoor offerings 9 months of the year. However, with Downtown Phoenix becoming more tourist friendly and offering several must see attractions, I figured this would be helpful list as well. So, please see below, my suggested things to do in Downtown Phoenix when you want to be indoors.
1) There are TONS of wonderful museums. Seriously, TONS. I didn’t event list them all here because it would be overwhelming, but here are a handful that are within a few blocks of each other:
2) Orpheum Theater opened in 1929 when Phoenix was only a town of 48,000 people! Through the years the theater has changed hands and was even in dagner of being demolished in 1983. But in 1984 the City of Phoenix bough the land for the new City Hall and the Theater was placed on the Historical Places Registrty. Since then, the theater has undergone a $14M renovation restoring it back to all it’s 1929 glory. Now the theater is open for historical tours and even ghost tours Oct.– May.

3) Sky Zone Trampoline Park – Only a 5 min drive outside of Downtown the trampoline park will give your kids (or your spouse) the chance to burn off some of that extra energy. With games and areas for all ages, this is sure to be a hit with everyone in the family.
4) Phoenix Art Museum – Yes, I know, another museum, BUT this one is listed as a top photo location and it’s a few blocks away from the other museums listed above. In this area you will find Playhouse on the Park, Central Community Theater, Arizona Opera, Arizona Theater company. Head to the museum and catch a show nearby, sounds like a good day to me!
