Yes, people love it here because of all the great outdoor activities, but it does get ridiculously hot (if you haven't seen our Summer temps: YIKES!) But also, there are those rare occasions when it’s raining outside. Even if you have planned the most perfect vacation, a poorly timed rainstorm doesn’t have to put a damper on things. (See what I did there?)
Below is a list of some of the best indoor activities in Scottsdale. These are great options when a pool day or hike is not an option because of unsafe temperatures, rain clouds, or a nasty sunburn!
1) Odysea aquarium – Family friendly and really fun! There are tanks, interactive displays and touching pools. It is also located in the Arizona Boardwalk complex which has rotating exhibits so there is more to see than just ocean life.
2) The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) - This museum is great for all music lovers. They have live music from around the world, interactive exhibits, and collections of all types of instruments from all over the world.
3) Western Spirit, Scottsdale’s Museum of the West – With the goal of educating guests on the unique story of the Greater Western Region, the Museum of the West strives to show visitors the changes as the Old West became the New West.
4) Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) – Located in picturesque Civic Center Park, the SMoCA is home to many entertaining and interactive exhibits and educational programs. Exhibits are always changing, but are always unique and exciting.
5) TopGolf – If bad weather is causing you to miss your tee time, have no fear: we have TopGolf here! With climate-controlled bays, free WIFI, on-site food and drinks, AND over 200 TVs TopGolf is a great option for when golfing outside is just TOO DAMN HOT!
